Summer swiming is here.
June 8, 2009Welcome to The White Salmon Pools word press site. We will keep you informed on what is happening with the pool here.
We have accomplished some noteworthy improvements to the pool with the help of generous citizens financial support, volunteer organizers and workers and the City of White Salmon. The objectives that fall under what is considered phase I is to improve the existing pool. A solar heat system and a salinization system to clean the water have been installed and are in the process of being brought online and trouble shot. These two items will improve the safety and lower the operating cost of the pool. Thanks to everyone who participated!
With Phase I wrapping up, phase II is coming to life. The goal of phase II is to replace the existing pool. The new solar system and the salinization system have been implemented in a manner which allows them to be moved at some point to a new facility, the pool has been a tremendous asset to the community. Multiple generations have learned to swim and enjoyed themselves in this pool. Increasing operating cost and complex fixes have proven that the deterioration of the pool is in full swing.
We need your help with phase II. Please fill out our survey. This survey will do two things, ask you for your contact information. We’ll use this to keep you informed. The second function is to create a needs assessment for a new pool.
Thanks for checking out our site. We’ll keep you posted here. Enjoy the pool!
